And here we are, all sorted out, set up and ready for business in our 6' x 10" space.
It took absolutely ALL day, but it was worth it!
And here is a close up of my "fireplace".
I had originally wanted to use some great architectural salvage as the columns and then paint a cardboard fire. But the salvage was no where to be found. So this idea evolved thanks to the suggestion of a sweet friend of mine. And it turned out so much better than the original plan, don't you think?! (And yes, the fire is pink, orange and yellow. It was the only colored chalk we could find. So we simply decided right then and there that pastel fire was EXACTLY what we needed.)
We are in Booth #2760. Come by and see us if you are in the neighborhood.

Getting Ready
It pays to have a professional contractor hanging around.
Just waiting to help me put a market booth together.
He loves it.
Kinda.
Maybe.
But I keep him happy with lots of....
Time to smell the roses (in Portland at the International Rose Test Garden).
And more importantly...
VooDoo Doughnuts (also in Portland at VooDoo Donuts, of course!)
And yes, that is a doughnut topped with Captain Crunch cereal.
Only the best for my guy.
The professional contractor.
And market booth builder extraordinaire!
