What's on the Design Wall

These squares are slowly becoming...

A table runner for my gigantic picnic table.

And this is the first block of a four block applique pattern. "Christmas Cactus".

And what's on your wall?

Gopher Purge

No, I don't have a gopher problem at my dinner table!!
I just think these poison green blooms are beautiful.

Now the gopher problem in my garden... well that is an altogether different situation.
But, I am happy to report that Grandpa George is on the job, and he has a plan.
And you can bet that it does NOT include Gopher Purge!!
He prefers more persuasive measures.
Good ol' Grandpa George!
He is always welcome here.

Out of Sight

Here is one the newest patterns in the pattern shop.

A little monogrammed eyeglass case, with a snappy top.

It has been a very popular pattern lately.
Maybe it is the monogram, they seem to be "in" right now.
Or maybe it's because it's a fast and easy pattern.
Or maybe because it makes a great gift.
Or maybe the whole world is in need of multiple pairs of readers, just like me!!!!
(Yep, all those are mine. It is a sad, sad situation that a girl as YOUNG as myself would need all those readers!!)

At any rate, the pattern can be found here!
Enjoy.

Easter Brunch

We had BEAUTIFUL weather here on the Central Coast to celebrate Easter Sunday.

We ate outdoors with lots of family and friends. Brunch for lunch,
since the morning was filled with sweet worship of a risen Savior.

And when it was all over, the flowers moved indoors to grace our dinner table for a few days.

April POM

April's Pincushion is finally here.
Pineapple Crush
Maybe you have been hoping to see this one highlighted! (Or maybe you knew it would be because I told you about it at a recent quilt show....)

This is one of our best selling pincushions.
It's small, like most of the pincushions here at Sewn into the fabric...
But, unlike ALL of the rest, this one does not show off a button. Actually, if you have a copy of one of the original patterns, or one of the early cushions, you know that it started out with a button. It was right in the middle of the leaves. But I eliminated it because the leaves look so much nicer when they get nestled down deep into the pineapple top.

This one is easy to make. And it will bring a little taste of the islands right into your studio!
You can access all of the ordering options here.
Enjoy!!

Block 8: Star Border

Hello BOM Quilters!!

Yes, it is time to add a little something to your Autumn's Bounty Quilt.
A star border to frame it all up. And how wonderful.... all of the pieces to make this border have already been stitched up!!

You can access the pattern here (under Block 8, of course).

We are getting close to the end of this little project. Next month you will have Blocks 9 and 10, because they go well together. Then in June the final little bit will be revealed! And that will give you a couple of month's to get it all quilted and ready for fall.

Happy Stitching.
